We will be closed on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day.  We will be open normal business hours on "Black Friday" from 12 - 6 pm. and on "Small Business Saturday" from 11 am. - 6 pm.

The Plein Air Painters of the Bluegrass

The Plein Air Painters of the Bluegrass, is a group of wonderful painters who encourage the practice and development of plein air painting in the Central Kentucky area. The show consisted of over 20 participating artists and reflected the spirit of plein air painting in over sixty new works.

In addition to the local scenery depicted in the show, there are beautiful outside scenes from the Red River Gorge, surrounding Bluegrass farms, idyllic scenes of France, and several other places members of the group have traveled and had the opportunity to paint!  The show ran through October 1st. 

The Opening reception for our most recent show, featuring new works by members of The Plein Air Painters of the Bluegrass, was a huge hit!  A special thanks to Margie Shaw of The White Light Catering Company for all of the fabulous food!

 "Wouldn't You Rather 'B' in Paris?"

Thank you to everyone who joined us on Bastille Day, Thursday July 14th, for our wine tasting and art Opening reception 'Kentucky-style' at our location on Main Street in downtown Paris!

         5:00 - 8:00 pm


The prestigious "John B" label, produced from a winemaking process with a real hands-on approach both for the viticulture and vinification, is brought to Paris by Nic DeWet Wines!

See works by some of your favorite "B" artists, including Bob Sandford, Bill Fletcher, Beverly Bruntz, and more!  "Bright Spot", "Bella in Blue", "Bringing in the Belgians", and "Big Shadow" are a few of the featured pieces of "B" in the exhibit. 
  

The gallery was filled with excitement as over 75 guest joined us for the big opening!  Bob Sandford's "Downtown" painting was the first painting sold for the evening!

The show ran from July 14th through August 13th.

We look forward to our next event in Paris!

 

Gallery B at Privett Law Office, PLLC

Gallery B of Lexington and Privett Law Office PLLC in Paris have joined to create a unique partnership by combining office and exhibit space in one historic building. 

During the recent Artwalk in Paris, Gallery B premiered works by its artists at 433 Main Street. Come join us and welcome Gallery B to Main Street in Paris!

We had another exciting event in the gallery at the Opening of our new show, "A Brush with Humanity". 

Guests mingled with Tom Bluemlein, Kelly Brewer, Jason Jenicke, guest artists Charles Jolly and Neil Di Teresa, and more of your favorite Gallery B artists.

Opening soon in downtown Lexington, some of the great staff from “TrusT Lounge" were on hand to premier a sampling of their favorite handcrafted specialty beverages for the evening.  A "Gallery B" cocktail was created on our behalf!

Xpress Valet, just down the street across from Bellini's Restaurant, provided wonderful service for the evening as well!

Join us for Gallery Hop on June 17th.

The show runs through July 9th.

"Kentucky Point of View"

Thank you to everyone who came out for another great show!  Showcasing all the things we love about Kentucky depicted in oils, acrylics, bronzes and more by guest artists Neil Di Teresa and Nancy Milburn Kleck as well as new works by your favorite Gallery B artists.

Congratulations to local artist Jason Jenicke for winning "Best in Show" for his piece "Still Running"; 2nd Place Overall went to local artist Kelly Brewer for her piece "The Red Barn";  3rd Place Overall went to Roanoke, VA national artist Greg Osterhaus for his piece "Clouds Over Mountains"; and a Merit Award went to local artist Ann Pass for her piece
"Sunflowers and Pear".

The show runs through April 30th.  

"All Creatures Large and Small"

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Opening reception of our new animal exhibit at Gallery B!  We had a great crowd; a visit from Pablo, a Jack Russell up for adoption from the Lexington Humane Society who found a new home; and the treats from The Melting Pot were amazing!  We sold several paintings as well!  Thanks to Topsinlex who took some great pictures of the event!

The exhibit features cats, dogs, cows and more of your favorite animals brought to life in oils, pastels, watercolor, mixed media and bronze by our talented group of both locally and nationally known artists. Also enjoy a special visit from some of the wonderful Lexington Humane Society animals.

"Our Favorite Things"

Thank you to everyone who came out for "Our Favorite Things"!

Join us for our winter exhibit as we celebrate "Our Favorite Things"!  We are pleased to introduce new artists W. Michael Meyer, Jason Jenicke and Beverly Bruntz as guest artists, as well as our favorite Gallery B artists.  Landscapes, still lifes, animal images, and beautiful bronzes are included in the exhibit.

WORLD EQUESTRIAN GAMES

Thanks to all the visitors and competitors in town for the World Equestrian Games!  We had a great crowd stop by the gallery to view our most recent exhibit, "Living Bluegrass", which ended on October 23rd.  The exhibit featured seven exciting artists with works ranging from equine bronzes and paintings, to local landscapes and animals.  We had a few German visitors that were captivated by Kelly Brewer's cow paintings, some of which were sent to a dairy farm in Germany! 

Gallery B has something for everyone - whether you're looking for a special piece of equine art, or a wonderful Kentucky scene to remember your trip!
